Synopsis'Calder Jewelry' features around 300 bracelets, brooches, necklaces and rings, all of which are reproduced in newly commissioned photographs. Also included are examples of Calder's innovative drawings, the boxes he made to store jewellery, historic photographs of his jewellery worn by notable patrons and a chronology.
Typically $500-1,000 I finally found a hardback around $400. It’s an amazing resource with text, color photos, and display including Calder’s handmade storage boxes- old crates fashioned with leather strap hinges and hasps. For anyone wanting to bend and forge wire and create settings for found objects like shards and beach glass.
This is the best Calder book every. Stunning photography on completely amazing jewelry throughout his life. Every time I look at this book I see more. It often goes for a lot of money but it's worth it!!
