A good book! Pretty thorough when it comes to federal payroll taxes and laws, however it is lacking a bit for state as it cannot cover all of the different state mandates. Also, it does not get the process of direct deposit and how that would be processed if you were to manually process payroll.
Bought the book for a class and like it. The book has lots of practice problems at the end of each chapters to work on and the the book explains each and every cases by examples. I would recommend if you would like to learn about payroll accounting.
This is a bad book. I researched it very carefully and believed it had the best coverage from amony several competing titles. Well it didn't. If you are looking to do manual payrol then this is the book.
I plan to take this Course Payroll Accounting this Semester starting on October 15, 2008. Looking forward to the Class.
