Absorbing Period Drama
This series is very entertaining. It's set in the 1920's when women were searching for new roles in the world, none more so than the Elliot sisters. Both were left in straitened circumstances upon the death of their father. They pool their meager resources and break into the fashion world. This well acted period piece covers so many areas. Two would be PTSD, then known as shell shock by some of the male cast who fought the war and, women's independence to manage their own lives without male dominance.

1920s fashion house in London England, endearing characters as well as villains, light entertainment.
I may not represent the majority of viewers out there, I’m a 65yo female. I love the London England setting, the engaging and pretty sisters and the other characters, and beautiful 1920s fashions created in this series. It’s light and fun, good escape from the seriousness of things in our world right now.
