Timney is simply the Gold Standard
Timney has been making excellent triggers for a long time. And they've gotten better over those years. Materials science and engineering/production systems are better. The result is a Timney trigger is an inarguable improvement to any firearm. Part of the pleasure of shooting is being able to do your best and bring a high level of accuracy to the game. Timney addresses one of the primary reasons for "missed shots". With a Timney, trigger problems will never be the source of a miss. Great "budget" drop-in trigger
Very easy to adjust trigger pull. I'm not a trigger fanatic or anything, but I had a Remington 700 BDL chambered in .308 with nothing done to it, that just couldn't seem to group shots well. I knew it should be able to get at least around 1MOA groups, and while I'm not a precision shooter and was using cheap factory loads, I knew I should be doing better than I was. Before doing any other modifications, I decided to drop in this trigger... I should have done it sooner. It's much more predictable, and the lighter pull makes it incredibly easy to stay on target. New trigger for my Rem 700 and this one is adjustable as well as safe
I have been after one of these for years now. After two accidental firings of my Remington 700, I missed the free trigger offered by Remington. This just came up. It was adjustable as I wanted, and it is safe, unlike the original, where Remington cheapered out by $.35 on their triggers. I now have a replacement. I have yet to install it but will soon. Good replacement for Remington 700
Easy install. I needed to make some clearance to the synthetic stock. I recently had my Remington 700 refitted by Remington. They replaced my adjustable trigger with a non adjustable trigger. They said my 1975 700 would not have had an adjustable trigger. I can only guess the rifle, purchased used, must have had an adjustable remington trigger installed by someone. I never would have done the recall if I knew this was what they would do. Since the non adjustable trigger was useless, I went ahead and bought this Timney. Good trigger but
Only one issue with the trigger. When used with a 700 adi, the trigger shoe makes contact with the bottom of the trigger guard. When the trigger guard is torqued down it makes the safety inoperable, requiring the trigger shoe to be file down for clearance. Great Trigger System
The Timney Trigger was a great trigger upgrade for my Remington 700, .243 cal. My Remington 700 is an older model, 1976 version. The installation went without any problems. Great crisp pull. I adjusted the pull weight down from factory setting to 2.8 lbs. I would suggest that before you begin the installation that you look at some of the YouTube vids on how to install the Timney 510-V2 Trigger. This Trigger Suits My Needs (See Review)
I purchased this trigger to avoid posting the rifle to the gunsmith for the "recalled trigger replacement." This way, I will not have to take off the scope, post the rifle for an indefinite length of time, and then remount the scope and reaccuratize the sighting upon its return. Given the time, trouble, and money associated with "that" process, the purchase of the Timney trigger was preferable. The installation will happen two days from now, and it appears to be fairly simple (i.e. - modest disassembly and the removle/refitment of two "pins"), and then this Remington 700 Problem will be solved - but - there are "other triggers" available that may be just as good or better.
