this movie has my 2 favorite actors Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz and it is a true story . Another of my favorite actors is Ray Liotta is great as George Jung father. I like the way they age the characters. A lot of action and the ending is also great!

I kept thinking the real part would start soon when I realized that was it. It was almost over. The two main actors did a good job but there was no pint. It just did not seem like a drug movie. I was bored through most of it. I guess you had to imagine a great part of the movie????

Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ninth Gate, Finding Neverland, Donnie Brasco, etc) turns in a really good performance as the real life coke smuggler George Jung, who rises from poverty to become one of the biggest drug dealers in America before his eventual downfall. Penelope Cruz (G-Force, Volver, Sahara, Gothika, etc) co-stars as Georges lover and wife. The movie is based on the 1993 book BLOW: How a Small Town Boy Made $100 Million with the Medellin Cocaine Cartel and Lost it All!. Director Ted Demme has had several hits in his career (The Ref, Life, A Decade Under the Influence, etc) however, this by far is the best movie he has directed in the last 15 years. A good movie for drama lovers and will be enjoyed by some suspense movie lovers as you try to figure out what Georges next move will be to make money or move coke. Good for a full night of entertainment-especially if you like Johnny Depp as this is really a great acting job by him. Cruz does a really good supporting job also.Read full review
George Jung (Johnny Depp) lives on a California Beach selling drugs. When his drug dealing booms he begins cross country shipping of them. After meeting with drug cartel Pablo Escobar in Columbia, in order to get the high volume of drugs his consumers demand, Jung is cocaine dealer number one is the US. Depp's characterization of Jung is one of his better ones because he has to portray such a complexity of Jung's emotions. This film is based on reality and a documentary about Jung. Perhaps this sort of reality is not suitable for teens or children to watch at all. Or at the very least, without interactive parental supervision and dialogue. Blow's a good show because of the talented cast: especially Depp. But the story is not as engaging as I had hoped it might be. Thus, I found it rather dull, except for the character studies. I'd give the story a yawn.Read full review
What a true story started out so innocent ignorance is bliss and shows the road people go down how their personalities change with greed and drugs yet George seemed to keep his center better than the rest. But he paid for it all!
