Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow is a rare game. Games like this one do not come often and when they do, you must pick them up. This is a third-person shooter that surpasses any TPS I've ever played. You pick up weapons, armor, and other things during gameplay to defeat enemies. The take cover system is amazing along with the ability to blind-fire at targets. The story of SFLG is a 9/10. From the beginning it had such a suspenseful climatic build-up through the levels but the ending was too abrupt. The Campaign mode of this game is great but ONLINE is even better! SOCOM could not come even CLOSE to how good the online play of this game is on the Playstation Portable. Don't rent this game, BUY it!
I love the storyline of the game, granted it does not pick up where the last, The Omega Strain, left off. The graphics are loads better than the previous game, and the characters are further explored, so that there is a sense of who they are. The ability to switch weapons is different, and the addition of different modes of vision are a good thought. The enhanced combat is a bit confusing at first, if you are used to the old controls from the first 4 games. Easy to adapt to, though. All in all, I really love this game, and reccommend it to anyone who is familiar with the Syphon Filter Franchise.
I loved the story plot and the quality of the cutscenes. It was just like watching an action movie except we as players get to interact with the game. The weapon choice is excellent, the different goggles to change from night vision to thermal is great, and the cover system makes the game more realistic. The enemy are decent and the player will find they can have several approaches to the same objective.
I am a fan of the Syphon Filter series, and the storyline of each part just gets better and better. Logan's Shadow has a great, well-planned storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. And how the game ends, keeps you guessing what happen to the characters. I am sure there is going to be another part to the series, but I have not found out anything that points to that matter. I want to know what happens to Gabe, Lian, Teresa, and Mujari.
Having played the PSOne to PSP iterations of the Syphon Filter genre Logan's Shadow is more of the same. Geared more for the teenage crowd there are a lot of button mashing (hack a computer by pressing square cirle X triangle x square etc) and the bad guys all say the same thing, and cry in pain the same when you shoot at them. Plot is something you can ignore to get into the "shot at bad guys who all will stand in the same place like lemmings". One novlety feature is leading an Abrams tank out of mind field, calling in airstrikes. Worth the $20 off Ebay, but not worth the full $40.
There is nothing to dislike about this game. This is by far the best PSP game I have ever played. Controls take a bit to get used to, but once you do the experience is superb. This is a must have game for anyone owning a PSP. I highly recommend it.
Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow is a fantastic PSP game, and one of the best action games to hit the system. Check it out if you’re a fan of last year’s Dark Mirror or if you are an fan of deep action games.
Very good game, kind of short, but easy to pick up. Good story, decent graphics, and lots of replayability...haven't tried the online mode but I'd imagine it is just as good.
Great Game! Not too easy. Not too hard. Good graphics and great gameplay. Much better than anything by Tom Clancy (for this system anyway).
Good sequel to one of the PSP's original great games. Also an engaging story with interesting characters.
