The Maschine + stand alone is a great Product for music production. It has an array of quality sounds and expansion kits to choose from. It’s pretty easy to learn, however will benefit from having more processing power. I notice that it cracks when the CPU gets to about 50-60 percent capacity. Akai MPC Live 2 has more power and options, and you can get it for the same price for a more bang for your buck. I was able to get the Maschine for less than the MSRP- definitely not worth $1299 compared to the MPC Live.

I have the MPC Live, Octatrack mk I, 1010 Blackbox and the Deluge. Being a Maschine user since mk I, I was hoping for more with M+, but seeing as the + is still newish, and the mk III is $650, the + is a good value used for around $1000. The Deluge is still the best actual stand alone, as MPC and + are using single board computers running linux and can crash and be buggy. That said, the + has multiple soft-synths and is expanding at a better rate than the MPC.

Definitely a must grab for all producers. Great sounds , easy workflow.
