The handset appears to have some weight (from the picture). In fact, the unit is so light I'm not sure it's resting properly in the cradle. And one of my cats walking by will always tip it out of its cradle. The best thing about it is, however, the vocal quality. The job of a telephone is to transmit speech clearly in both directions. Sending a message (talking) appears to be understood by the recipient, while receiving a message - the only times I have problems is with call centers (and there I ask the operator to bring her/his mike closer to his/her mouth. That usually solves the problem). It has a black/white list (spam blocking) capability whereby unknown and first time callers who are not listed in your phone book have to go through an approval process (you tell the system to allow the call). It will also block unidentified callers (people who block their ID) and calls that appear to to be computer list calls (spam). I haven't tried this yet, but I've been on the calling side of someone who had implemented such a system. It's a surprise and a bit of an annoyance to the caller, but it DOES cut back -significantly - on calls you don't want.Read full review

Bought this because my AT&T phones were dying after only 3 years of use. This phone is smaller, slower and slipperier than my old phones. It just seems that every time I buy AT&T phones they get worse and worse. I wish I could buy a phone that would have some quality to it. This phone is cheap in materials and quality. It has gobs of features but I don't or won't use half of them. Trying to hold this phone in my hands is like trying to hold a greased pig! Between the smaller size and the slippery plastic I have difficulty holding the phone. Maybe if I get some sandpaper and rough it up some it will be better. Also the batteries don't seem to stay charged as long as my last phone. Should be interesting to see how long this set of phones last.

After spending far more time than seemed necessary, the system has finally been set to a useful level of operation. There is little that is intuitive about the system thus creating the recipe for more than a little frustration. Guidance provided by the User Guide would benefit enormously from a more lucid description of the needed procedure. It is still not clear when (or if) the outgoing message is played. The ring count for playing the message is set at 4 but few calls go beyond 3. The sound quality is about acceptable. Certainly could use significant improvement. Would I buy the system again? Probably not! It replaced an old AT&T system that was better all around. Replacement was essential since one of the old hand sets failed completely.

The best reason to buy this product is the marketing block / screen feature, otherwise the UI is chunky and the handset are very light in the holder and fall over easy and the volume and sound quality is not as good on most of these issue as the other brands. Also is does have good distance for the handsets :)

It’s stops the Robo calls and that’s why I bought the phone. It works like it says it should. I used to get four or five Robo calls a day, now I get zero. If you want to stop Robo calls buy this phone. Very easy to set up. One happy customer
