It's "Working Quality", will be determined over time. Just began using it 5/23/17.
Anyone shopping for a Surge Protector to use on their RV realizes there is no way to provide realistic "rate and review", for other potential buyers to look at while doing their due diligence research, at a time when other buyers are looking for realistic experience, on how this item works,.....or not. Simply put, nobody can provide practical, accurate feedback, until considerable time has passed, since putting the surge protector to work. Pretty simple,....if months or even years of time passes without damage from faulty shore power facility they have their RV hooked up to. Like I said, impossible to provide valid feedback on this item, unless it happens to react to a faulty shore power immediately after plugging it in or, seeing it in action by providing what it's designed for, by not allowing damage capable power source, to enter your RV and stop potential damage in its tracks, before causing considerable damage,....like happened to me recently. Yep, having never used a Surge Protector before now after, having owned 3 5th wheels over the years, until I recently bought my 4th. Blind luck on my previous rigs, having never a problem whatsoever, and in a 30 period this year, experienced hundreds of dollars,....even nearing 2,000 bucks in damage to what was a 3 week old new inverter, 3 high dollar air filtration units, and the mother board that controls the built in Microwave/Convection Oven, along with a small fan and an electric radio/alarm clock,...all of which were completely blown. What I WILL say about this specific model that I chose, came about due to multiple experienced RV'ers I spoke with about their very own usage of nearly identical model and type, on their rigs, sometimes for years, had only good to say about their experience and the product in general, and I am a firm believer in getting personal testimony,....good or bad, before spending hard owned money to buy one myself and risk making a blind decision, with so much to loose. The price I paid was a very good buy, and just caught sale that Camping World happen to be offering at the exact time I was looking to buy. Check around, because I found the pricing for this exact make and model, varied as much as $100, from different retailers, both online and sticks and bricks retail stores. Any event I experience while mine is being used, that I consider newsworthy, I will attempt to share with other, like minded people. first time purchase for new RV
this unit is easy to understand and connection is simple. It has no lock to keep it in place. I fashioned one that I could wrap around the power cord of this unit and the pole that the electrical connection is on put of a 4' cable and my own padlock.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
