This is the 3rd dog I have used the system on. If your not having success your training methods are likely not correct. The flags in the ground are must. When you have to remove them for lawn cutting, use a can of black (suppose most colors would work) and spray at the base of the flag to mark the location. Remove, cut and re-install. BTW...your dog will get a correction a few times before they figure it out. After that it works great!!
