    Works GREAT - Bosch ES2.5 Electric Tronic 3000 2.5-Gal

This is the 5th unit I have purchased and it does everything I wanted an under sink heater. I have a tankless hot water heater and it work very well except that the water runs from heater to sink plus the tankless water heat up time does not allow to wash your hands in hot water. Therefore the 5 Bosch ES2.5 Electric Mini-Tank Water Heater Tronic 3000 T 2.5-Gal heaters we have purchased. The heater works well and we did not see any spike in electric usage that we thought we would have even with having 4 units installed at once. This 5th unit is going in as we added a bathroom to the 3rd floor "game room" area.

    Leaky Fitting

This is my second Bosch Tronic 3000T ES2.5 Mini-Tank Water Heater 2.5 Gallon heater I've purchased. It was almost impossible to stop a small leak at the INLET fitting. I tried several different couplings and had almost given up and thought I'd have to return it as defective. Finally after using different sealants and tightening a lot more than should have been necessary the leak stopped. If you buy one be sure you have free return shipping if it's defective!

  • Great with Tank-less Water Heaters

This is the second one I purchased. We have a tank-less water heater and it took a lot of water "to my wife" to get hot water up to our master bath, so she would wash up with it cold. This worked great for her. I put it under the bathroom cabinet and hooked the hot water line from the tank-less to the cold water inlet to the new Bosch water heater. So now she has hot water right a way and it is unlimited.

  • BOSCH Electric Point-of-Use Water Heater - I love the way it works.

I love the way it works. I installed it in the upstairs bathroom and instead of running a gallon or so of water before hot water comes out the tap, I've got hot water right away! Another nice thing about hooking it up to the hot water line in the bathroom is by the time the Bosch's little 2.5 gal tank would normally start to run cool/cold, the hot water from the basement tank is filling into the little heater and I never have an issue of cold water coming from the Bosch unit.

  • Hot water when you need it

The heater arrived quickly and in good condition. It installed easily under our bathroom sink. The biggest challenge was to find a pan of suitable size to put under the heater as is recommended in case of leaks. Found a 16" x 16" x 2" aluminum cake pan that seems will work for minors leaks. I connected the inlet to our "hot" water line which use to deliver warm water to the facet after 1-2 minutes. With the heater installed, there is warm water in about 2 seconds. I set the thermostat to "ideal" which is in the middle of the setting range. Right after the heating light goes out (takes about 10 minutes to reheat the tank) the water is very warm, but not hot. After using the water for a 1-2 minutes, it begins to cool down because new cold water is flowing into the heater. The light comes on, and 10 minutes later the water is very warm again. Works well for our evening get-ready-for-bed routine. The only slight issue, and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the water has a bit of an odor. It is not as noticeable if the water was just reheated, but if the water has been sitting in the heater overnight, there is a bit of an odor. Maybe it is just new (but not good) smell that will eventually go away. After using it for about two weeks, it seems to be a great little unit, and one we wish we had purchased years ago. Only time will tell how long the unit will last, but I plan to replace the anode rod each year as recommended.

  • Why not sooner!

Shipped quick, great condition and I installed it the night it arrived. My wife loves the kitchen sink now, we used to wait a long time for water from the main tank. We installed this on the hot water line as the intake. This way you have immediate hot water and before the tank empties it is being filled with hot water from the large 52 gallon tank. The cold water in the line mixes in and you don't even notice any change. Wish we had done it sooner.

  • Bosch ES2.5 Water heater

This is the greatest thing to save on water and Electricity ! Used to wait for a gallon of water to go down the drain before I felt the warm water in the kitchen sink but now only a couple of seconds and the hot water is there. I did have to relocate the disposal to the opposite side of the sink because of existing pipes and drain constraints which required couple of trips to the store for additional fittings. The heater works perfect and has no appreciable heat giving off due to superior insulation in the unit.

  • High quality and value

I have been using this water heater for about one month and have found it is everything that is advertised and delivers plenty of hot water in my 37 foot 5th wheel which I live in year round. It was easy to install and its lower profile allowed me to us it where taller units wouldn't fit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

  • Good product.

The 2.5 gal water heater heats fast. it is located under my sink in the kitchen. it takes maybe 2 seconds to get hot water. The thermostat outside of enclosure makes it easy to adjust temperature and the indicator lets me know when the heater is on. Easy install
