Have tried a few EQ pedals for my current board and while they all do the tone shaping so well the background noise always ruins it for me especially with cleaner sounds where you need quiet in the spaces. Heard about this through the NAMM updates and was super excited as it has noise reduction and a lower noise floor than the other units I've tried (Tone Job, Boss and the old M109). Sold the Tone Job (great pedal but the mid control wasn't the right range for me) to fund this purchase and ... WOW what a pedal, quiet and the frequency ranges are perfect. Just using it to kick up the mids and cut a little bass on my VHT Special 6, it makes the amp come alive and my boost and od pedals sound wonderful now Well done MXR. MXR M-109S graphic 6 band equalizer works good to shape guitar sound and clean up pedal sound that get murky. You can also boost or lower the signal and use it for lead. The led's on the sliders are nice and it is easy to see what you are setting them to. Power jack isn't in the best location but works. I like it and get some sounds I have been looking for
