Good value that will last a long time.
This shampoo and conditioner is a good value and will last a long time. Literally, a dime-size amount is all you need, and I have very long hair. I used more than that the first time using it, maybe between a nickel and quarter size, and I found that was way too much, and that was after a week of no shampooing. I always use a little more conditioner though due to damage. The texture is very thick or "rich." It smells great too, pleasant scent but not too strong and not overpowering as some scents trigger migraines for me. So far, so good. The shampoo lathers extremely well and the conditioner does appear to repair damgage. The smell was a turn off (smelled like smarties candy) and the formula weighed down my hair but it's nice to use from time to time. It’s the best shampoo I’ve ever used. I have fine but somewhat coarse hair and it leaves my hair in perfect condition. It doesn’t make it too soft or limp and gives my hair lots of body. Rich Moisturizing Lather
Recommended by my hair stylist. I have fine, color-treated hair that is breaking and dry on the ends. Moisturizing shampoos weigh it down. Olaplex 4 adds volume. I often skip the daily shampooing and build body by using a hair dryer at the roots. I do not get that skip-day oily feel or flatness. Olaplex 4 is a very thick product. I put a small amount in the palm of my hand and lather the roots like I'm applying mousse. Then pull the shampoo through to the ends. If, after rinsing, the ends feel dry and tangled I'll take a small amount of shampoo and start at the ends and leave it on for a minute to break down sticky hairspray, then use my fingers as a comb to release tangles. The second shampoo softens my hair on the ends to minimize breaking. During the Pandemic, I did not see my stylist for 10 weeks. He couldn't believe how much better my hair felt.
