Not cheap but less expensive than the Stihl tool. I purchased 3 of these tools after a considerable amount of time determining what sizes I needed for my saws. I found one to fit my Stihl MS250, my Stihl pole saw, my Echo 440, but there was no compatible tool available for my Echo top handle climbers saw (cannot remember the model). The smaller file for the pole saw will work on the climbers saw though it is not perfect, It still does a better job than I can do by free handing a rattail file which is how I have sharpened all of my blades for at least 25 years. These saws have a very aggressive cut now and I am very happy to own these tools.

No cons so far. Have used this sharpener for a few months now. All I can say is why didn't I buy one sooner. The files are some of the best quality I have ever purchased, and the whole gizmo keeps my chains in tip top shape, far better than I could ever have done without it. I originally thought this was some sort of gimmick for Johnny Home owner. Its not. Really works. I own a ranch in California and cut and burn my own wood for heat. Depending on the job we use everything from 24" bars down to 14" bars. I will be purchasing more of these for every type of chain we use.

I already own a Pferd 3/8 sharpener and it works wonders on chains between cutting sessions! So, I figured that I needed one for my .325 chains also. I can finally sharpen a chain correctly. I no longer buy a new chain after it gets dull. It only took a few minutes to practice and use the tool efficiently. I have used a lot of different chain sharpening tools always looking for something a little better. this tool provides great sharpening with excellent angle consistently. All of this with out having to set up some tool or take it to the saw shop and you get the depth set on your rakers at the same time. Ive never used a sharpener that works so well!
