USA Made, it is. But it still can't open cans.
Had high expectations for this can opener, basically being the old USA made Swing Away. Sadly, it does not open cans very well. It skips, especially if the can edge has a slight imperfection or dent. It sometimes lost grip of the can, and came off. A can opener that actually works
I had purchased several can openers locally and they for the most part they wouldn't really open a can. Most times the gear that turns the can would just slip. The only can opener in my house that really works is an old " Swing-Away" that was made in the USA. After doing some research I found out that the new versions of the "Swing-Away"are made out of country and not as good. But I did find out that EZ-DUZ-IT is made in the USA and made in the same factory as the old "Swing-Away's ". This one really works well and I would recommend. Solid piece of equipment made in the USA. Has a good weight and balance. Handles are secure and the blade is sharp. Would recommend over a cheaper model from a foreign country. We had one of those and the handles would slip off, and the winder eventually broke off because it was soldered with pot metal. What makes it very good is the once common american common sense. As we really no longer work with our hands like the good old days I really notice the china made products are now taking our old place. But they still lack the american ingenuity.Well its A real pleasure to write A review on this product the EZ DUZ IT can opener made here in the USA. It has A larger handle for one thing and the roller cutting disc sure seems larger diameter also. Its finished just rough enough to cut and crimp clean on the roll of the opened lid. Sounds simple but getting things just right is more difficult than it seems sometimes. I will most certainly get some more. A few at the time to have and give to other family members.
