For the money I doubt you could do better. It's not as good as the hype from the Guitar Guru channels but it does do what the ads claim. It's a good "practice in your room" amp, and something you could take to a campfire singalong. On an Acoustic/Electric the delay and reverb have little effect but volume for its size is quite good. It would be enough for a very quiet small bar but that's about it. In a group setting, if they could hear you well without an amp, they could hear you VERY well with the Boss Katana. And that's a lot from 7 amps. It almost feels too light, but for it's intended purpose that's not a bad thing. It's a focused product. I like mine.

Boss speaks for itself! It's awesome cause it has built in effects and is either battery powered or the power adapter works for it from my pedals I use or I use the batteries and can still use my pedals. It also has a audio input which is nice because I can plug in my phone and use spotify to play with songs. It's really small and light and I'm gonna really have fun annoying all my neighbors playing outside this spring and summer. I'm also excited that I can take it wherever I want and it fits in my gig bag. Boss sounds great and before purchasing it I already knew I was gonna love it.

This mini katana amp is amazing. It sound is like the big one but small as a lunch box and light as a feather. I can take it anywhere easily. It inspires me to play more. all I need is the mini and a guitar and a cable. Aux in your tracks from your phone and jam. It arrived 2 days early perfectly packed and new.

Overall, love it! Great metal tones from what looks like a lunchbox. Lovely clean tones too. Excellent bass for such a small amp. Great value. A bit buzzy with the A/C adapter, but zero noise with batteries. Would rate it 5 stars if it had reverb. That said, the delay FX sounds really nice. Awesome travel amp.

I bought this as a portable practice amp so I don't have to lug my Katana 100 212 around. The sound that comes out of this little thing is incredible. The brown channel is raunchy and really sounds great! I would highly recommend!!!

Hands down the best battery powered portable amp available ,i have had several other small amps and this one wins the biggest failure of the others was lack of gain man this has tonnes so from clean ,classic crunch to an exceptional amount of metal gain you can play anything on this No pedal needed to get the distortion you need

Small is gonna sound small, lacks headroom.., it works well for what it is, and is articulate, harmonics chime decent, gain is fair. I did the external Jack mod on it, no real improvement using it.. all in all if you want portable with headphones and a decent sound this is it for the price point.

This is a great little practice amp. I really like the selector switch for Clean, Crunch, and Brown sounds. The Time Delay and Level knobs add a nice depth to the sound, which you generally don’t see in small, inexpensive amps like this. Two thumbs up!!

great to get ideas with no tube warmup and get a very decent tube ish sound , plenty of sound to be heard with the 7 watts it doesn't take a lot of power to sound loud on those frequencies anyway, the only thing I find with it as a problem is the tone controls are not very effective and it has a constant "effect" sound as if it has a slight chorus , it is never straight sounding , there's always some kind of digital sampling running in the background . I am not fond of echo also . this practice amp is good and I recommend it to anybody, it is a lot of fun , excellent for beginners , super portable, runs a long time with the batteries, plenty of gain for those screaming leads and shredding, I just don't recommend it for actual recordings as I am a valve addict personally ., and that will never cut an actual rehearsal specially with a drum. sorry for the scattered writing .Read full review
