Good quality DVD recorder with built-in tuner
Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this recorder but it is not as user friendly as some the other DVD recorders that I have had in the past. I like the fact that it has a built in tuner and it provides a high quality recording. I don't like the fact that it is slow loading and it has no disk open/close button on the remote. You have to manually press the open/close button on the recorder itself to open the disk tray. I have spent hours and hours trying to get it to work. At this point I have given up. At one point it appeared to be working fine and then when the reccording ended it said err and dumped every thing. It has not worked since. I have done both res-sets. Still wont work. Unit Works Great And Is Easy To Use.
This DVD recorder is a great unit with many good features. But beware, it does have problems handling some bad disks. Check your disks well before trying to use them in this unit. I like the fact that it can record DVD+R DL disks without having to format them first. Is somewhat picky about the brand of DVD used. A good product, but.....
I've always liked Panasonic products and this one follows suit. It has all the bells and whistles that I need. However, this was bought with the understanding that it was used and in this case it was really used. It needed some fiddling to get it back to a state of quality with which it left the factory.
