This book by Robin Gunn is a holiday book to cherish! Miranda Carson's search for her long lost father takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself in London with only a hint of who he may be. Thinking the trip is a big mistake, she finds herself in front of a large wooden door strung with silver bells that jingles everytime the north wind blew. She is welcomed warmly by a family that does not recognize her and she is at odds whether to reveal her true identity and destroy their home life or return to the United States and be alone forever. For some reason she feels very much at home here with this family and doesn't want to leave. This is a deeply moving Christmas story of longing for family and a place to call home. It is beautifully written and the story will stay with you long after you close the book.Read full review
