Inspirational
I purchased this book as a gift for a friend. I have a copy of the book and have read it, and enjoyed it so much that I did not want to turn loose of my copy. As the title implies, it is the story of Clarence Thomas from his own perspective. It is written with great humility. I say this because nearly 30 years ago I had read a biography on Clarence Thomas, and that book espoused his accomplishments in much greater detail than this book. From Pinpoint GA to the Supreme Court!
I'm late to the reading party having just ordered and read it. The book was published and released in 2007. I saw Justice Thomas in a University of Virginia sponsored Black leadership series with Julian Bond. During the great interview it was mentioned that Thomas' memoir had been released in 2007. Clarence Thomas has a very compelling story. I think the book does a wonderful job of explaining how a great man became great...through hard work and determination. He certainly was not born into the job.
