In-line magnetic filter
I’m using this magnetic in-line filter for my power steering system, because there’s no type of filtration for it at all, and I just replaced all the parts from the pump, steering box, pitman arm, tie rods idler arm, upper and lower control arms, & all the bushings. I’d like to protect these parts so I don’t ever need to replace them again, so I suggest if you have all this work done you better protect it as much as you can & this magnetic filter is a cheap way to do that.

Good inline transmission filter
I use this as a secondary transmission filter on my 2013 Honda Pilot. The factory filter is not accessible. You have to separate the transmission from the engine to access the factory OE filter. Thanks Honda. Very thoughtful of you to do that. Kudos on that engineering disaster. Anyway, installed this Raybestos filter on the return line. Has a magnet built into it and a filtering element. Says to replace every 12,000 miles or 1 year. It will keep the factory filter clean, since it removes more debris than OEM filter. Not sure who owns this filter. Some websites say Magnefine, some say Raybestos. Either way it is built very well, and not too big that you have no place to install it. It is made in China...but..good luck finding something made in the USA anymore. Maybe some toothpicks ? The casing is glass infused nylon plastic to withstand pressure and heat. So far, so good. Good for 2006 volvo Xc70s as well.
I bought this for my 2006 Volvo Xc70 after I did a transmission flush. I cut the hose going to the top of the radiator and installed this. It’s working good and has held up to the high pressure and temperatures that this car produces. I heard about this flitter on a Volvo repair forum and I followed the directions given on that site.
