MTC Monovalve for Mercedes 107 and other models does NOT work
If you buy a part and it does not work, your check your work and make sure the install was done correctly and all supporting systems work correctly. I did that. So maybe the part is faulty. So I returned the MTC monovalve repair kit and bought another one. Same outcome. Next, I spoke with my trusted MB shop (only works on MBs for over 30 years). I was told that MTC mono valve kits simply don't work! MB shop tried on multiple cars and several MTC mono valve kits on each car. Never worked. Wrong manufacturing specs or lack of QC - who knows? Regardless, waste of money and time. I hope MTC will re-engineer the product. The MB OEM part costs somewhere around $300!! But then again, it works!

Do not belive the youtube tutorials
read neg. reviews-figured cheap enough to use rubber parts on old Genuine. I compared to old (25 yr) units (6) . pull on spring same!! Used trigger scale). Will not fit in solenoid ? clean center -it is 30 + years old. to long? absolutely . nothing to do w/ function. MTC same as 2 I purch. 10 yrs ago for $19 ea. And I just put in last one. Mtc is just fine. m y experience is from 1.2 million miles on three 300Ds .

MTC heater control Mono valve no good.
I replace the unit, it worked for the first 1/2 hour and then the problem re-appeared, and the unit could not stay energized enough to stop the flow hot antifreez into the cabin. I have checked the voltage by meter and oscilloscope, and the voltage seems correct. The coil resistance was about 20ohms. Although the unit was new, with new rubber parts, sill it is not the same part as manufactured by Bosh. 2 thumbs down -- do not buy the unit.
