A brilliant, unjustly-neglected film.
A film project initiated by Dustin Hoffman, it's a realistic film about the life of a career criminal. Brilliantly acted and directed, also starring Theresa Russell, Harry Dean Stanton, and Gary Busey. Excellent commentary track by Hoffman and the film's director Ulu Grossbard. The original DVD (this one, bought used) contains an excellent contemporary "making of" featurette.
