Not every game, book or movie is better with its sequel but, in this case, it is. Such classic and basic game play expanded a little further. One vast improvement is the password system is cut in half, making saving and loading much easier. The tracks get long pretty early on in the game. I do prefer the soundtrack of the original.

This was one of the best games for the Genesis. One that every fan of the Genesis should own. The game is about biking, with 15 opponents, on tough winding courses on a 2D plane. You dodge cars, attack and fight other bikers, and altogether have many oh WOW moments to last a lifetime. The game is very well crafted. Gameplay: If all one would judge a game on was gameplay, then this would be stellar. Providing you with 15 opponents, each with unique personalities, Road Rash is stellar. You fight through the pack, gain a big weapon, and take people out. Nothing can be more fun. If you win, you get a good animation. If you lose, you get a funny one. Overall, a wonderful experience. Graphics: This is where the game hurts. By today's standards, the graphics are terrible. If you enjoy the gameplay, then the graphics are a minor detail, but they severely hurt the experience. A modern version with this gameplay would be wonderful, but alas, these are the graphics it has. It gets the job done, but sometimes it looks pretty darn bad. Sound: Another thing that hurt, you have to choose between engine noise and music. Both are annoying, but music is less annoying at a low level. Overall: Gameplay makes this game, but graphics and sound are tough by today's standards. That is really too bad.Read full review
