Book arrived on time, apparently new. No complaints. Note, if your professor uses WileyPLUS - the ACCESS CODE is only for the student companion site (it comes with all new books), NOT for WileyPLUS. Don't make the same stupid assumption I did. WileyPLUS is an extra feature and only comes with this book in a specific package, which this is not. Putting this warning on the product's page would help avoid this mistake in the future.
I bought this book as the textbook of my thermo II class this semester. The book is in general very detailed and comprehansive. I has ample illustrations of concepts and ideas about various thermodynamic processes as well as suitable highlights of key definitions and formulas. For me as a senior who probably has been going through thermo for three times (once in physics course, once in thermo I and once by myself, I am a nerdy geek ;) ), I usually use the book for the reference of some key mathematical expressions and simply skim through the text to remind myself of some general idea. But I think for newcomers in thermo (or those who consider themselves newcomers still) this book offers very sufficient details for everybody to advance through the text.
i love the cover and appendix information. i do not like that it does not have discrete explanations of the main processes that i am doing in class. this is the isobaric, isochoric, isothermal, adiabatic, and polytropic processes. My class notes are more useful than the book for this information. the glossery sucks for a college text book. it should and could be easily 2 more pages of word put there.

If you are in the US, buy the US version. The homework problems are NOT the same! However, for educational purposes- content wise, the two are nearly identical. This book is great. There are many example problems with superb explanations.
