Does the job
Bought this to fill and heat a portable hot tub. Tested it and it did the job great. Only issues were the battery box does not indicate which way to insert the batteries and the connection could be a tad easier and seal better but still did the trick.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good unit for portable installations in the UK.
Pros: This is probably a good outdoor shower propane water heater if used for that purpose. Cons: I bought this propane water heater to replace an existing water heater that supplied hot water to 2 bathrooms in my home. The ad says that "You can get instant endless hot water easily wherever you are." However, there is a 20 minute timer that shuts off the hot water automatically after 20 minutes to avoid overheating, so not really endless hot water. If you are in the UK, you probably won't need to purchase the rather expensive pipe adapters to convert the three 1/2" BSP connections to 1/2" NPT for connecting the propane and the water supplies if you decide to use this for a permanent house supply instant hot water heater as I did here in Florida. The unit comes with one brass adapter, but because I did not use the included shower head and portable LP tank connections that were supplied with the unit (because I was replacing my old instant hot water heater) so I had to purchase 2 additional BSP to NPT connectors. If you are replacing a unit with this one and adapting it to your existing piping, the cold water inlet is on the right, the hot water outlet is in the center and the LP supply is on the left for this unit. My previous pipe installation was different and I had to reconfigure the piping as needed. My unit was "reconditioned" which made the purchase price attractive. However, when I inspected the unit before installation, two spot welded supports for the venting at the top of the unit were broken off and I had to pop rivet the heat exhaust vent to the back of the unit to give it some support. It appeared that the unit had been stressed by dropping it as the top of the exhaust vent had a dent. Probably someone lost their grip while handling it out of the box. Reconditioning the unit amounted to putting it back into the box and shipping it out again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Seems okay
Seems okay so far. Getting it connected took some doing even though they send some very substandard and plastic fittings. But only one trip needed to the hardware store to get necessary fittings. Instruction manual needs work and needs ENLARGING! Very hard to read. The manual states that the unit IS NOT intended for fixed installation but their advertising shows FIXED installations and all the great wonderful things you can do with the unit. I suspect the statement was for insurance and legal purposes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
