This factory part is the only option for my 2009 Focus. (A non-Ford replacement did not fit.) It might not last.
This Ford replacement part fits my 2009 Focus perfectly, and works like the original (as one would expect). A non-Ford replacement, Dorman 47187 (which Dorman lists for 2009 Focus and other cars) DID NOT FIT because a diameter is smaller and the clip couldn't hold it in. (The Dorman nozzle might fit the Dorman replacement hose, but I did not want to buy and try.) So the Ford part is my only option. Unfortunately, it probably will not last. Three nozzles failed when they broke off under the hood, because the plastic is brittle (or turned brittle). The first factory-installed nozzle broke when the car was 4 years old. I bought 2 Ford nozzles from a Ford dealer, replaced the broken one, and kept one spare. When the other factory-installed nozzle broke this year, I replaced it with the spare. But then the first replaced nozzle broke off when I touched it! Also, whenever I squeeze an old nozzle with pliers to take it out, it shatters; that's how brittle they are. (To take one out intact, push the tabs carefully.) Since then, Ford MIGHT have switched this part to a less-brittle plastic (or one that does not turn brittle), but I can't count on it, and I don't want to squeeze-test a new nozzle. So I bought 3 this time, and now I have 2 spares for next time. Except for these nozzles, my 2009 Focus has been very reliable. Its only other failures have been malleable lugnuts, and steering wheel rubber that wears away. (And a battery after 7 years.)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
