Set in a futuristic world, "Gears of War" is a third-person shooter game in which soldiers must defeat a swarming underground race called the Locust Horde to save what is left of humankind. Players must utilize the post-apocalyptic world to their advantage, such as using pillars, rubble, and dumpsters as cover or for setting a trap. Players also have the ability to shoot down structures to forge new routes. Up to three squad mates accompany you on each mission with basic commands, such as advance, hold, or freelance available to guide them. A behind-the-shoulder view is the default perspective in the PC game. Use the assortment of weapons including grenades, pistols, assault rifles, and other long-range blasters to defeat the Locust Horde. The enemy is not opposed to lunging, rushing, or gnawing at soldiers, so players have the opportunity to perform finishing moves by using combinations during close encounters.Product Identifiers

Great nostalgia
Visuals are clearly dated but is still great fun and worth the purchase to play a decade old classic 360 game again with new achievements on the PC. Worst part was trying to get the game to work on windows 10. I had to install the game and then change the date back to 2008 and it would work. Then I could set it back to auto track the date and install the necessary updates for the game. Since then the only issue is some stuttering and frame dropping but I am going with that is partially tied to my laptop being older and the game needing a work around just to be able to work on windows 10.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
