  • Great replacement for Mercedes W204 4matic w/Sports suspension.

I have a 2010 W204 4matic w/Sports suspension and the coating was peeling off the bottoms of the coil springs and they were rusting. Also the rear passenger side was sitting almost 3/4" lower than the drivers side. After looking around I found a set off a W204 with low miles and looked to be in great condition. Installation was very easy, place a floor jack underneath the spring control arm near the inner mounting bolt, 18mm wrench or deep socket to remove the inner spring control arm nut and an M12 Triple Square to remove the bolt. I ended up using an impact wrench to basically unscrew the bolt all the way out, had just enough room where i didnt have to remove the exhaust. Slowly lower the floor jack until the the control arm is completely dropped and you can pull the coil spring right out. The "new" used coil springs came with 13mm upper insulators but my W204 originally came with the 9mm upper insulators so i just re-used them, after a good cleaning with dish soap they looked new again anyways. I also replaced the lower metal insulators with new ones, the originals were basically disintegrated into nothing. I've had good luck with buying used Mercedes parts, just make sure to look at the photos and buy from someone with good reviews.
