These mats are of the rubber type and not the hard plastic type that you may find in other brands. These are genuine OEM Mazda mats. They'll definitely do a good job in keeping your floors clean. However, unlike some other brands, the mats lack the nice side walls that will entrap whatever fluid you end up spilling on the mats.
