You can wiki .hack (dot hack) and see for yourself, but this game is a small part of a larger .hack story where people play online games and get trapped inside the game. This particular game Vol.3 Redemption is the third and final volume for the game series. I personally enjoyed the game a lot with its good story line, incredible graphics and actions, and above average character systems. The makers of the game paid a lot of attention to making the game feel like an online game with other players by 1) allowing trades with other players, 2) blogs and chats with other players, 3) email correspondence, 4) sometimes online, sometimes offline status, etc. I would say definitely try out the game from Vol.1. Each game is not as lengthy as other RPG games, so it goes by pretty quickly. A few downsides I would point out...first three part series is definitely long and it does become somewhat repetitive. (but the real-time action battle negates some of that.) Second, in order to fully appreciate .hack//G.U., it's good to have played .hack (4-part PS2 game), or least know the story behind it, since it's all quite connected. And third, the story is great, but I guess the gamemakers wanted this whole surprise reversal at the end, so everything is kept secret for a very long time, and it sometimes is hard to understand where they are getting at. But overall, a big recommendation from me, a bigtime RPG fan. Definitely try out this and the previous .hack series. It's 4-part so it's a bit long (and it's been some time so the games are hard to find), but it's worth the effort.Read full review
The game is fairly well made and makes improvements to the slower-paced combat of the first 4 .hack games. It is slightly repetitive, but it has a very good storyline, and a variety of side quests that can be completed after the story is finished. I loved the first 4 .hack games and decided to play the GU trilogy after hearing of its release. Give this game a chance, regardless of what some reviews may say. Some games with bad reviews are actually pretty fun.
/start log Expect a long post TL;DR you been warned. This is one of those games your either going to dislike or like from the beginning. The .Hack Franchise has been one of my favorite role playing games for the PS2. The story line from the old series and new series can be very in dept when it comes to characters and the way you play. There is times where I play these games and think what happens if it became in real life. Imagine playing an massive multiplayer online game where if you die you become a "lost one." A lost one is someone who goes into a comma for an extended period of time never waking up, never sensing anything dwindled into a universe of nothingness waiting to awaken. In the game its called "doll syndrome". Each game is easily 20 - 40 hours long depending if you do side quests or stick to the main story line. I could go on about the game but that would wreck it for you. There are two main problems I have with this game. The first one being is that at times it can be really short. For example if you sit and marathon it, it can be beaten within a couple of days give or take. I also feel at times, if I sit down and play it for more than a couple of hours I can accomplish lots and have nothing to do. To me the .Hack Franchise is one of those games you really don't want to rush there are so many twist and turns its not even funny. Just when you think it can't get anymore bizarre, it does. My second problem is like my title says it's Last of a Dying Breed. Over the years I've played .Hack Franchise has been under appreciated. Not trying to sound like a fan boy but call me if you want. All I ask is that people give it a chance. Yes it doesn't have the best graphics or there's flaws in the game that make people want to rage. It's just under appreciated like most games are when people haven't heard of it or played it. *Spoiler apparently the psp game that's coming out is the last game of the series. Which makes me want to rage. I wasn't a fan of most main streams role playing games for example Final Fantasy but that's because I never really got into them and never gave them a chance. So I'm going to take my friends advice and get into the final fantasy scene. Anyone heard of Phantasy Star Universe? or Phantasy Star Online? Almost everyone I talked to hasn't. These game should not be mixed together. Phanstay Star Online is one of those games that are unique it its own way and I'm not going to go into Phantasy Star Universe except that I still play it. This is probably going to get some people to TL;DR so I'm going to cut it short for a bit. In conclusion if you can still find this game I say pick it up and play it. You won't regret it. It's a unique game made for even the most hardcore / casual gamer. To a last of a dying breed I give it a 10 out of 10. This is existenceisfutile signing off. /end log.Read full review
The voice acting, the story, the character, The World, and gameplay are so compelling. The post game content is really good too. Definitely pick up if you can or the remaster on ps4 or ps3. As for the case, disc, and Manuel, they’re in mint condition. No water damage, creases, and so on.

The third and final installment of the .hack G.U. series is the best yet this was the first .hack game I ever bought. The boss fights are addictive and you can replay any avatar battles from all the other games you finally ride the world of Aida but neither Shino or Alkaid return from a coma. Also a new video series is included called .hack//4coma which spoofs the series, the final installment of online Jack, and the sixth episode of .hack//roots. The final boss is my favorite villein from the series Cubia. you first fight four easy avatar battles then one hard battle the fight replicas of your party that copy your moves. after that you fight the real Cubia he has three cores and plenty of killer attacks and Gomorrah. But if you've never played .hack you should buy the first to games and the original four.Read full review
Volume 3: Redemption is the last game of the second set of .hack games. The entire .Hack game series is very fun. I think the genre of being a simulated MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) is unique, too. The graphics are great and the story is interesting. What makes this series more interesting is the connections between the first set and second set of games. This game and the whole collection are great for any gamer.
There is nothing about this game that I could dislike. Having played from G.U. Vol 1. you'll find yourself with a massive selection of characters, weapons, armors, items and extras from your previous playthroughs. Not only that, but you'll be able to see the end to an unbelievable game. Will you conquer AIDA and free the Lost Ones? Or will you finally give in...? Actually, there was one thing...the cover art. When I first saw the game's cover art, I was very angry, because they revealed something about the game I didn't want to see until I saw it in-game...
GOOD I'm so lovin it

It's awesome. Even if it is used, it works well. Interesting volume. no. 3. I like playing this game for its unique features. No negative comments about this video game. Works well with my playstation 3. highly recommended.
Great game overall! & Perfect Quality! Hit the ground running if you've played either .hack//:G.U. Vol 2 or start fresh! Which ever you choose! Decide from many combinations of weapons, and customization, never go alone with many party combinations! Turn the tide of battles with Rengeki or Awakenings! Continue the great story-line that is .hack//: and collect the extras!
