INTV's penultimate release for the Intellivision, Body Slam: Super Pro Wrestling pits you against the computer or a friend in a no-holds-barred game of "strength, strategy and a hint of sneakiness." Matches, which can be played in either a one-on-one or tag team format, consist of a series of four-minute rounds. The winner is the first wrestler to pin his opponent to the mat for three seconds. A round will also end if a player (or players) is on the ropes for five seconds or out of the ring for 20. Body Slam lets you select from 12 different wrestlers, each of whom is ranked according to height, weight, strength, coordination and ego. Overall, the wrestlers are evenly matched. Twenty-six fighting moves are available in all, but for each match you must pre-select a total of four to nine moves, depending on the skill level (1-6) you are playing.
