"Seven Mansions- Suspense with story" Seven mansions known as Nanatsu no Hikan is a Horror adventure similar to resident evil. The story is set on a remote resort island. There are seven resort mansions located on this island. You have come looking for your father Upon arrival, many mysterious events are occuring. The gameplay is slightly dull. The enemies are not very big, and not scary. Some of the later bosses are done well, though. The control is very precise, which can be frustrating, especially when aiming at enemies. The view is a delightful feature. Three different views can be selected including a third person view. all rooms can be completely viewed, not just seen from one perspective. What sets this game apart is the two-player cooperative mode. Two-players can play at the same time. In a one-player game the second character follows the players character. The music is also grade A. The music fits the scenario in a delightful manner. The CG movies are decent. The movies are a little blurred, but probably were meant to be that way. The character designs are excellent. The voice acting is also excellent. This causes the player to care about the characters in the game. The puzzles can be very difficult, especially if you cant read japanese, since this game has not been released in the US yet. After collecting pieces of the puzzles, you must read the clues and type in commands (a dreamcast keyboard can be used) to unlock the next event. So a medium knowledge of japanese is needed, or a FAQ may be found somewhere. Overall this game is better than resident evil in the suspense department. It is not as grotesque, but high anticipation of the next screen is always there. There is not too much to fire at, so don't expect a zombie masacre game. It is more of a mood exploration game.Read full review
