This game plays a little quicker than the original. It's pretty easy to be spotted and killed which is how MG games go. Some might be frustrated by this but taking a little time for newcomers to get used to it is still rewarding. Better graphics and quicker game play make it work better though and the new music doesn't hurt at all. Definitely worth picking up for a fun play-through.

Even though this title is not part of the official storyline of the Metal Gear saga, it is still pretty good for its time. It still has that metal gear theme to it, finding equipment and weapons to help you destroy another metal gear. The controls are responsive and the figures on screen are larger than the first. This time Lt. Solid Snake leads a team and starts off with a combat knife and gun instead of just his fists, which is more realistic. For an old 8-bit cart this game is fun, indeed the technology back then was limited, but its still great to have in your collection!!
Takes some getting used to but an interesting game none the less.

Fun game. One of the more difficult ones to beat for the NES. Just like Metal Gear, this game is as much about stealth as it is killing enemies. Its not the normal run and gun type of play.
