Based on the popular Chuckwagon dog food commercials of the late '70s and '80s, Chase the Chuckwagon was sold exclusively by Ralston Purina via mail order, making it scarce and highly sought by collectors. Players are given 60 seconds to navigate Chuckie the dog through a maze in an attempt to reach a chuckwagon at the other end. Floating objects, such as a bone, fire hydrant, or a cat, will attempt to temporarily freeze Chuckie and decrease his score, while a dogcatcher attempts to capture Chuckie, eliminating one of his three lives. If the chuckwagon is reached, a reward screen appears requiring players to zap Chuckie's food dish at the precise moment.
