This Zelda was truly awesome.. It takes place outside of Hyrule. An interesting concept for Zelda fans. It has an amazing story with shocking twist. A twist that leaves link to a shocking dilemma of his journey. With that it game link and other characters personalities with emotions(a first). It's truly a masterpiece.

I must admit i havent gotten through probably half of the game, but first let me say if anyone has a question its for THE ORGINAL GAME BOY, and can be played on gameboy pocket, gameboy color, and gameboy advanced. NOT nintendo DS. anyway for the first half of the game, i've been blown away by the amount of levels and moving well functioning monsters and enemys for an original GameBoy game. I have been collecting like crazy for about a year now all my old favorites, this not being one of them but a shot in the dark to see what kind of a game it is. well its worth 100% of my 10 dollars i bought it for, and probably much much more. it sticks to zelda 1 for the NES type gameplay, yet its all slammed into one small GB cart. a must have for zelda fans, and a must have for nintendo fans alike. this game is HUGERead full review
One of the best games of all time. A master class in creating a compelling and brilliant game with the limitations of the time. Holds up just as well as you remember (if you’re my age) or as well as a golden age Nintendo title should. I’m building an off-the-grid library of classics for an expected period of wilderness time, and this certainly made the short list. Metroid 2 still on the way and I should be good.

Many years ago, my dad found a lime green Gameboy Color left by a kid on his bus, and he legally brought it home to me. And that is where it all began. I eventually stumbled on this game and fell in love. This game is fantastic, the music is great, the gameplay is the best of it's time, and still remains top notch. I recommend you playing this. It doesn't matter how you get it, as long as you don't waste your life only playing Halo games, and embrace classics such as this one.
Game came in no-time. Looks great. Booted right up. Thanks for offering this, fixing it up, and helping me relive my childhood.

I've been playing this game for about 13 years, and it never ceases to put a smile on my face. It has a great story and interesting characters, a huge world, a long side quest and is overall a long game, for a gameboy game. the dialogue could use some work (it's not the greatest, it's kind of bland), and there are a few sexual innuendoes that get a little annoying, but the game is a masterpiece.
This game is the third Zelda to be released with a top-down perspective (means you are above the gameplay looking down) after the first Zelda (NES) and The legend of Zelda: A link to the Past (SNES - referred to as LTTP). I have played just about all of the Zelda games and this has to be my favorite. I like the mysterious island, the level design, and the witty sense of humor. Also, when I first beat it, it seemed harder than when I played LTTP. If you like LTTP, you will probably like this game. It isn't as long as LTTP and, of course, it has GameBoy graphics. Basically what you would expect from a GameBoy game, but it is still my favorite.
This game of course like just about any Zelda game wether it be from the past or present is nothing short of awesome! It is a truly unique version from all the rest, incorporating the Mario universe along with that A Link to the Past style of gameplay make for a pretty awesome combination. The gameplay is fun and simple; not too cryptic. The audio is nice for its time, the graphics while today won't blow anyone away look quite nice even in four shades of gray, and this game also has some fun boss battles. Bottom line is that you have no reason not to play this game. I highly recommend picking this one up!
