Using the scoring rules of standard bowling, World Bowling brings America's favorite blue collar sport to the Nintendo Game Boy. The action takes place in six different countries: England, China, Japan, Canada, France, and the U.S. Each lane has different characteristics, such as tracks that are worn into the wood. You can choose between a male and female bowler, and you can select the weight of the ball, with a minimum of 7 pounds and a maximum of 15. The two bowlers have basically the same skills, except the male is a right-hander and the female is a south paw. After deciding where to line up at the front of the lane, you can control the hook of the ball and how hard you wish to throw it.
