This JVC Model is one of the top rated during it's time; Assort features and ability to use multiple types of DVD-R to record with. Definitely a good investment.

This DVD Recorder is really nice. The single button dubbing was nice and I was able to get rid of all my old VHS tapes within just a few days. The on screen display worked the first day I hooked it up, but has stopped working since. Disappointing but for the price I guess it's still a good deal since I am still able to record on both sides. Another nice feature is when you transfer a tape, the unit automatically forwards to the end of the tape and then rewinds before picking the best recording quality. You can also choose weather you want chapter breaks inputed or just one long recording. This was nice for recording cartoons for the kids...that way it broke them up into individual shows. I purchased the unit for $130, overall a pretty good value considering it's becoming difficult to buy even a decent vcr for that these days.Read full review
if you get one and everything works on it like it is supposed to. It is great. The only problem will be to hook up to a modern TV. The older ones before the recent tv's work better for a hookup.

Well The DVD Recorder Doesn't Record And It's Stuck On VHS So You Can't Play DVD's. I'm Thing About Buying Another One If The DVD Recorder Works Properly.
