The Onkyo DVD player (MPN DVCP701) is a six-disc device that plays both video and audio feeds, offering numerous possibilities to combine DVDs, CDs, WMA-encoded CDs, and MP3 audio. With the Onkyo DV-CP701 users can view JPEG pictures or Kodak picture-encoded CDs with the 192 kHz/24-bit audio digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and a 54 MHz/10-bit video DAC. This six-disc DVD player features progressive scan using a laser and lens system that provides good clarity of video and audio outputs. The user has the freedom to change the other discs while one is playing. This Onkyo DVD player uses Onkyo’s Direct Digital Path design that transfers digital signal inputs from the disc to the TV or to the music system without any sound disturbances or picture distortion. Brightness control and adjustments to contrast and sharpness levels of the video output are other features available on the Onkyo DV-CP701, besides additional features such as a five-language on-screen-display, a remote control, a display dimmer, a resume function, and parental control. Compatible with both NTSC and PAL systems, this six-disc DVD player offers digital surround sound for its audio output. The Onkyo DVD player measures 17 inches deep by 3.6 inches high by 17.1 inches wide (43.2 cm by 9.1 cm by 43.4 cm) and weighs 11.7 lbs (5.3 kg).Product Identifiers

So far, so good. A couple of little thin...
So far, so good. A couple of little things like the dent in the case (I might be able to bang that out) and I think the optical needs a cleaning (occasional skipping of discs). That said, this IS an older machine. Definitely feeling nostalgic when experiencing the opening and closing of the tray as well as the dot matrix display. A great vintage Onkyo product. Performs well, and as expected.
I bought this Onkyo 6- DVD / CD player second hand in 2021. Unbeknownst to me, the Unit was manufactured way back in 2003. But despite it being more than 17 years old, it seems to work just as well as a new model would. This says a Lot about the build quality and reliability of Onkyo products.
