I got mine used and received it damaged in shipping.(Box got crushed in shipping)The extent of the damage was cosmedic with major crush dents on the rear of the case above the AV hook-ups. I thought it was a gonner. I pluged it in to test unit. To my surprise it powered up and worked perfectly. The cosmedic damage was easily repaired by removing the units cover and pounding out the dents with a rubber malet. A few bends later with a pair of pliers and reasemble. Unit like new and works great. Now for the review. The picture and sound quality on both the DVD and VCR are very good for an off-brand unit. The remote is packed full of features and is easy to use. The display on the unit is very basic showing only minutes and seconds in the old VCR counter style. Hook-up is easy alowing you the option of S-Video/AV or coax which is great for hooking up those older cable ready TVs not equipped with AV jacks. Clean machine, sets up good and easy. Played my VHS tape good. The DVD played well also. Remote doesn't seem to have any problems either. Good deal.
