Terrible and unsafe
Well i waited past the return period to put this together. It has been up for one weekend. It is out of my pool already. It is coming apart. The screws are pulling out and the gap is an inch wide . The steps are almost fallin out of there holes they snap and screw into. Do not buy this thing. The hand rails shake, , the plastic is to thin for the screws provided and yes they are not to tight i used the clutch on my drill. Big wasted of money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Stair rails too weak.....won't stay on bottom of pool.
The rails are weak, could have been a bit more rigid. Steps won't stay on bottom of pool even though I filled them with more sand than the 40 pounds recommended. Overall a decent set of steps and, compared to other products, a good value. I just wanted one set of steps I could install without having them constantly trying to float out of the pool on me. A bit more rigid deck fasteners and stair rails would help. They're OK but I probably wouldn't buy them again. On the plus side, they were easy to assemble and the steps themselves are strong enough. Easy, Quick & good buy for the money.
Easy to assemble even with out instructions, which it does have by the way, put about 60 Pounds of sand in it instead of the 40 pounds required & it will not float, it will sink like a rock & stay there, , fill the straight rails until you get about 7 inches from the top, take a hammer & gently tap the top of the extended rails to even them up, Bam you are done, really nice steps & I would recommend to anyone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to assemble and works great getting in and out of the pool. You have to put the recommended amount of sand in the stairs and then you have to have someone stand on the stairs in the water for a few minutes until the stairs fill with water, other wise they will keep trying to float.
