I enjoyed the first game more the Outpost 2. Earth is dying. You must colonize a new planet. The first part of the game is tedious going through the countdown and loading the ship with supplies. It is also difficult to figure out a landing site from space for the new planet. You must pick from only four randowly generated maps. You might micro-manage the colony. It is hard because as in real life you don't always find the mineral in extactly the right proportion to your needs. You must be carefull to not build too rapidly at first and not have the resources for later in the game. It is not clear how to win the game. You must either terraform the planet or build a new starship to try again. The tech tree is complicated and you can't build too many research labs at first. Most of the colony is undergroud and depending on the planet can be four levels. It is hard to remember all the maps of all different towns.Read full review
I had this game several years ago and I didn't think it would run on my old computer running xp but it does . it doesn' run in Windows 10 but I knew that. I shouldn't have threw the old one away but this is a good one at a good price.

It was a hard game to play in Windows 98. It takes time to get thru the scenarios but it is an intriguing game.

Make sure you know that this is an old game. Windows 95 and DOS. Newer systems have problems that you will have to work through.
