EA does it again. They create another awesome game called NBA Live 07. Don't think this is the same as all other years, but better graphics. NBA Live 07 has much more than stunning graphics. They have something new called EA SPORTS™ Total Freestyle Control: Take complete control of EA SPORTS™ Freestyle Superstars to perform the true-to-life moves of a High Flyer, Shooter, Scorer, or Playmaker, then elevate your game to the next level by changing skill attributes on-the-fly. Toggle through your Freestyle Superstar moves at any time to decide how your stars win the game. Take Over the Game: Use the all-new progressive control system to maneuver your Freestyle Superstars to elevate their play and take over the game. Perform a spectacular move to dazzle the crowd and boost your team’s momentum. Feel the intensity rise as your defensive stopper, veteran leader, or fan favorite steps up in key situations. This game comes with hundres of moves built in, plus plenty of defensive plays for all of you Ben Wallace fans. The free throw line imitates exactly what that player does on the line, so it is very realistic, but also time consuming. The ESPN announcers don't just bore you about stats, they actually talk about what that player did in the season, and it's very interesting to listen to what they have to say. Finally, there is the NBA All Star Weekend. The First event is a Rookies vs. Sophmores game, you choose who you want to be and you play your hardest. Next is the 3 Point Shootout. You have 5 racks of Basketballs to go through, and each rack contains a 2 point money ball. Shoot your best against the greatest players in the league. Next is the Slam Dunk Contest. Figuring out how to do a dunk may take a while, but once you get the hang of it you will be flying. I recommend using the games practice mode to practice your dunks. Finally there is the All Star Game. This is the best 4 Quarters of basketball you will play in your life, but this is also extremely challenging because each team has no weak points. This game also has an Advanced Dynasty Mode, where you can be the GM of any team you choose. Experience the challenge of managing team chemistry throughout the season, scout players, propose trades and investigate rumors to keep your team on track from the NBA Draft to the NBA Finals. The only reason I would not give this game a 5/5 is because of the reality. The computer team never subs out its starting 5. Now, imagine its the first quarter of the playoffs, and Shaq has 3 fouls. You would definetly bench him for a quarter or two. But instead, the computer keeps him in and you must play the whole game against him, and he usually doesn't end up fouling out. Besides this subtle detail, I give NBA Live 07 for Xbox a 4/5, and I HIGHLY recommend buying this game. The package was 2 weeks late. The game works. But there should be no way the package should be this late.

I was happy with the price, normally for such a recent release I would pay 10 to 15 dollars more. The game play has improved dramatically. This are no longer dunk after dunk inside, or fast break after fast break. The defense has improved as far as computer awareness and ability to stay in front of a player. Also the overall player speed is much more reasonable and life like. The control layout as far as having the third shooting button makes the game better as well. The only down sides I see is the free throw is still not great, improved maybe but still pretty lame. Also the court view that I normally play on is non-existent. The center court with the zoom is the only thing comparable and it is still a bit distant.
Game was just as I remembered when it first came out, very happy with the sell and came quickly! Thank you:)

I had high hopes for this game and it totally missed. I can't think of a single strength...actually, I'd say the soundtrack is the best part of the entire game, and it's not even all that great. The gameplay is sooooo disappointing...just awful. The graphics remind me of playing Live '99 way back when I think Tim Hardaway was on the cover, except that game was actually fun. The guy who said the opposing PG goes off for 30 every game no matter who it is is absolutely right. Want proof? I had difficulty on normal and played against the almighty Seattle Super Sonics. Earl Watson had about 40 points and I was playing with 3 minute quarters. I'm selling my copy on ebay after only playing the game once. If you still want the game and would like to save money, go ahead and buy mine.
