This is a simulated space flight combat game. I like the real-live people acting (it can be so funny at times), unlike alot of these newer games which use artificial models so the companies don't have to pay out money to actors. It's too bad that the movie, Wing Commander, didn't attract more attention; however, imo, the movie was released too late (~7+ yrs) after the sucess of Wing Commander I, and the dichotomy between the movie and the game was...terrible. I think the low turnout for the movie is what led to the break-up of Origin. However, back to the title - liked the game all around - good acting, good storyline, enjoyable dogfighting and torpedo runs. There was only one thing that this game lacked - a sequel.
This is a super game but hard, as it is progressively harder as you get better, the one thing I dont like about it is its progressiveness I would prefere more enemies as opposed to a randomness and harder to kill enemies... it ia a goal oriented game and a super good flight space sim Graphics are a killer...I decided to buy it because the edition I have of the Special Ops is the free one and doesn't work with 64bit systems an I have a hunch the retail will...I prefere the editions that came before this one as they were only progressive in the increasing numbers of enemies...
IF you have ever played the wing Commander Series, you will engoy this games. Their are some issues with game play but nothing that can't be fixed by going online and downloading the proper software for the game. The problem i had was that the movie sceens ran to fast so i had to download a patch to play and watch the sceens.
Got it thats about it. and yeah ..............................................................................................
