I do not think Billy Bob had to do any acting in DVD as it seems like this is his normal role in life. First time I had seen this in theater I was shocked due to language but quickly got over that and laughed until I had tears rolling down face. Ordered one for girlfriend as she always has a difficult time during holidays.
This bad Santa reminds me a lot of certain ex-boyfriends! I adore the midget guy! He is a crackup. Mean and nasty. Fabulous! Bernie is great as the in-house detective. I love it when he goes up against the midget!! So much of this, as stupid and crazy as it is, reminds me of people and events in my own life. The ending is kind of sappy though. Not too realistic (although the ending is just fine). Great movie, but definitely not something for your younger kids to watch. I will watch it myself a few more times. I'm not yet tired of it.
When it comes to dysfunctional people, this movie edged out my all-time favorite, "Shakes the Clown" /w Bobcat Goldthwait! Sometimes I think I had a really rotten day. After watching a movie like Bad Santa (or Shakes), I know my day wasn't so bad, because I didn't have to deal with schmucks like that! Caution: Bad Santa is NOT for the faint of heart (foul language and adult situations). You have been warned! Wickedly-good stuff!

This movie is soooo funny, Billy bob thornton is hilarious. The kid in this movie is a hoot. If you like crazy dark humor, This is the one for you, My son & laughed through-out this whole movie, It is not for a small child, maybe older than 14. But it is funny. The expressions on the peoples faces, this is a must see for a different kind of humor.
