What a Relief!
Our 2007 Sonata rear door handle came off in my hand when I opened the door. Instead of taking it to the dealer or other mechanic, we ordered this door handle. We looked on YouTube and found directions to put it on ourselves. It was so easy and neither one of us know the first thing about anything mechanical. After we had a slight problem reaching the small area, we accidentally found out that there was an even easier way to install it, without having to take the inner door panel off. It was an almost $200.00 job (the mechanic & the door handle) that took us about 20 minutes and cost less than $20.00 to do. That also includes the price of a strong, small magnetic tip on an adjustable 2' long inexpensive (under $2.00 Telescopic Magnetic Pick Up Tool 25.6" Portable Extending Magnet). A good replacement for handle

Replacement door handle 2006 - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
This door handle is an OEM replacement handle, in being such it will only be as good as the handle originally installed on the car. The handles installed from 2006-2010 are subject to failure due to the weakness of material and design throughout these years. That being said this handle is a perfect fit and installs without too much difficulty. Be careful not to loose the retaining bolt that holds the lock assembly which needs to be removed before removing the handle itself. If this bolt is lost you may need to remove the inside door panel to retrieve it. This bolt is a 8mm approx. 5/8" long which is recessed inside the door itself. A magnet or a magnetic socket is necessary. Other than that the replacement should be no problem. NOTE: When purchasing a replacement handle make sure that the handle kit includes the plastic guide clip that attaches to the actuating arm as this piece of the handle is that which breaks off and falls to the bottom inside of the door. All of the replacement handles will need to be painted to match the car. (Chrome handles excluded). Lightly sand and prime the new handle before applying a color coat. Factory matched paints are expensive but you may be able to find a color match that will be close enough to suit at a local car parts dealer. After sanding & handling the new handle a good cleaning with rubbing alcohol is recommended before applying any paint.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

These handle are the real deal. Same plastic finish but not painted and in a black color. Installation was very easy without removing the door panels. You will need a 8mm socket and and extension neck with a strong magnet to prevent the screw from falling into the door panel. Off Colored Handles
Though the color is off,(it's grayish instead of gloss black) it is a good deal. They are sturdy and of good quality. They don't need to be painted unless you want them to match exactly. It saves on paying the charges to have them painted. The cost for me went from $250.00 per door to $55.00 per door. Genuine Door handle
this is exactly what your looking for to replace a broken Hyundai sonata door handle, easy to install,(one screw) its more of a grey black than a glossy black so it didn't match my black paint, but its easy to spray if you choose to do so. it is genuine, and comes with two little rubber and plastic pieces that fit on the handle, (probably to reduce wear) I will definitely buy more if the handles break again. Nice original part that The Stealership charged $80.00 and $80.00 to paint and $100 to install !!!!! I later found a You Tube video to do it and the cost of paint and Two door handles was less than $80.00 . The wife said it looked better than what they did .
