Really good thing to have, with a caveat...
I loved the idea, and was excited to get it, but it just would not fit, not at all, it's way too wide! It's built very sturdy aside from that. I was going to return it, but I decided to keep it and use a file to grind down the sides and make it fit, and, I did. It works fine now, I don't know what happened at the factory, but consider this when purchasing, or at least, get your file or sander ready. I'm glad that I kept it, I am not unhappy with it at all. I put that I don't recommend it at the top when I was asked, I do recommend it, IF you are aware of the possible problem of it not fitting, and you don't mind the extra effort filing it down. Poor quality
I purchased two promag for my Ruger 10/22. Both failed to feed regularly. One has a broken lip on one side. Not sure if it arrived that way or happened on 1st trip to the range. Cartridges were nose way up in the mag, and damaged the bullet trying to load. Could never get more than a single round to chamber. The other mag is not damaged, but fails to chamber a round half the time. Poor quality and can not recommend. Will not purchase againVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Specs are off by 1mm
A Ruger precision 22 takes BX-1 mags. This mag fits with some force... But Promag made it about 1mm to thick. it's nice to have for holding on to when standing and shooting. a little sandpaper and it'll fix it. annoying but nothing fits the first time in the firearm world.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No limit states.
It still works just fine if you for some reason choose to bandsaw off the last millimeter of the bottom and drill press the inset that holds the limiter in place. Misleading
A 10 round mag for a 10/22 is very small and compact. A 25 round mag looks just like the one being sold. They show you a picture of a 25 round mag that actually only holds 10 rounds. I took one apart to try and get it to hold 25 rounds but so far no luck. Just go buy a regular small 10 round mag… this thing is pitiful…Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great and IS LEGAL in Cali!
Mine works great! I always spray Remington Dry Lube in my Ruger mags which allows the rounds to move freely without jams! Also, the guy who said it’s illegal to own in Cali is wrong!
