I have read many reviews which all seem to agree that Rush is one of the few bands from the 70's who continued to put out a good product through the 80's. I would agree. "Power Windows" turned out to be a good album overall. I do not remember any 'hooks' in the songs, but I thought that "Big Money" was a good opener on side 1. I bought the album for about 99 cents, so to me was a good value. I think it is a good addition to my Rush cd collection, and has overall held up to the test of time...as do most Rush albums.
Best of the Rush Synth Era albums (1982-92) IMHO. It's not a super-easy listen from jump, but after about 3 listens front to back, it gets under your skin then you can't put it down. It's like a good book you see.

This cd is really good. It follows Rush's most incredible productions ever which is why it gets forgotten. But don't make that mistake. For later Rush efforts, it delivers an excellent combination of synthesizer / rhythm work and the songwriting is pretty solid as well. The band sees the world as a very complex place and they do not "rush" to judgment of others. The liberterian message, such as that on "Signals", is not as overt, but still in the background. I give this 5 stars because it is the best album past Moving Pictures and Signals.
I love the new approach Rush did on this album, the Bass has some really good parts on all the songs, the guitar is very sweet , I just love the solo on Big money and the intro to territories is out of this world. is you are a truly Rush fan and love all of its phases then you will enjoy this cd a lot!!
