Not a detective lynley book.
The worst Elizabeth George book. No detective Lynley. The characters are dark, sad and do not engage the reader. The endless descriptions of poverty and violence are trying... Mrs George can go on but usually to the good of a book. I can only say something pivital happens at the end which I just skipped to it was so hard to get through. Most reviews say the same...it's not just me. My advice, read a synopsis, forget this tiresome, turgid book.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
