the picture is great, easy to use, lots of functions (which i haven't been able to play with all just yet), remote has buttons well placed. there are a few small things that are inconvenient: channel changing is slightly slow compared to other tv's, the PIP is actually PIP for different video feeds (say your playstation and tv channel, meaning you can't PIP 2 different tv channels). for a tv in my room, it's fantastic.
This TV has a great picture, is lightweight and the narrow case it just great. You can carry this TV around with one hand. This really beats the old tube TV's. The remote control seems set up well. You would probably want to get a decent sound system for this TV as the 5 watt speakers are a little light duty. So you want to budget for this. I bought it to be mounted and that is its one drawback. The rear of the TV is not made strong enough to properly handle a mount. The plastic in the rear bowed out when I attached screws through the mount into the TV. I think that the screws would pull out through the TV back if you tightened them too much. I had some concern that the TV might not work after the case bowed out, but it still works fine. Once you have mounted this TV, you might have a hard time returning it if you didn't want it. If you don't want to mount this TV it is just fine. I have looked around at other 26" flat screen TVs and they are made stronger in the rear to make mounting better. Make sure that you want a 26" as you might want to get a larger screen. You probably would not want to pay more than about $750 for this puppie. Best Buy and Circiut City will try to take you for more, but don't buy it there-unless you like paying more money. Bid for it on EBAY.Read full review
I like everything about this Samsung TV thus far. I bought this 26 incher for the bedroom. I already have a 40" Sony XBR2 in my living room as I am a confirmed Sony purchaser despite their prices being a bit high, however, if I were to buy a large screen TV again (and I'm now itching for a 46" screen), I just might go to another brand. I think the contrast ratio of this Samsung is what makes it more intriguing than the Sony. Don't get me wrong. The Sony is outstanding, but only at the right viewing angles. The Samsung seems not to have that problem.
I bought this tv expecting great quality for tv and video games. I hooked this tv up to a hdtv tuner turned it on and thought i was going to cry. The resolution was so bad it was like i was in the twilight zone. I tried to fumble with the settings and nothing got better. I plugged my xbox 360 in and got no better results. For a 26 inch tv you would think it look perfect... wrong! It looked like I was playing Playstation 2. DO not Get this TV it will be the end of life as we know it!!!
First time HDTV buyer and was pleasantly surprised. Super light, stylish look, excellent clarity, no glare. Tons of outlets, all on back of tv as to not be an eyesore. Perfect size for a dorm-room.
