If you need to replace the left (non-drive side) bearing cone in a rear Shimano Ultegra 6800 hub, this "Left Hand Lock Bolt Unit" (Shimano part #Y49398050) is the only way to purchase one. The kit includes four parts (cone, cone holding spacer/adjuster, spring washer and lock nut). These are original Shimano parts identical to the ones that came in the hub from the factory. So the quality is excellent. Note: The cone in this kit is also the same part used in the front 6800 hub. However, the lock nut and cone holding spacer/adjuster are NOT. So, if you need just a cone for a front hub and you cannot locate a "Left Hand Lock Bolt Unit" (Y49298040) for a front hub, then you could use the cone in this kit. During routine bearing service, I noticed that the steel ball bearings on the left side of my rear 6800 hub had become badly pitted and had stopped rolling properly. The wheel still turned freely on its axle so this was a big surprise. As a result, the left cone was scored and pitted very badly around its full circumference. Fortunately, the race of the cup in the left side of the hub was fine. I have never seen such bad ball bearing damage in a Shimano hub before. The hub has been well cared for and had never been used in bad weather. It had about 15,000 miles on it. The grease was clean and looked great. So, in addition to replacing the damaged cone, I also replaced all the steel 3/16-inch ball bearings in both the rear and front hubs with Cat 5 ceramic ball bearings and upgraded to Park Tool HPG-1 grease. By the way, if you need to replace the right (drive side) cone, you'll need to purchase the "Hub Axle Unit" (Y49398040 for rear hub and Y29M98020 for front hub) because the right cone is installed so tightly on the axle that it is very difficult to remove without damaging the axle. So Shimano doesn't sell it separately---you must purchase it pre-installed on a new axle.Read full review

Needed a new hub cone. Old one was pitted from 3 years of riding. Worked great along with new bearings to keep my wheelset going for more years to come.
